Infinite Spoilers

History[]

Annabelle Watson, or Anna among close friends,[1] was self-described as a woman who used people for her own advantages.[5] Despite this, Annabelle managed to find love and married Booker DeWitt, taking the name Annabelle DeWitt. In 1892, she became pregnant with a daughter and passed away due to complications of giving birth in 1893,[3] but the child survived. Booker DeWitt, now a widower, named the child Anna after Annabelle and took care of the child by himself. However, due to his wife's death, Booker fell into depression and resorted into alcoholism and reckless gambling, causing Anna to be taken from him.

Annabelle DeWitt doesn't appear during the events of the game, but she is mentioned a couple of times.

Booker DeWitt mentions the name "Anna" after waking up at Battleship Bay, but it is unclear if he refers to his wife or daughter.[6] In Soldier's Field, after being freed from Monument Tower, Elizabeth curiously asks Booker if he has a woman in his life, he answers truthfully, confirming Annabelle's death and the loss of his daughter, cutting the discussion short.[3]

Alternate Annabelle DeWitts[]

An alternate version of Annabelle Watson is Lady Annabelle Comstock, wife of Zachary Hale Comstock, the founder of Columbia. Annabelle Comstock was also born Annabelle Watson and had a similar life to her, until she fell in love with Zachary Hale Comstock and became the First Lady of Columbia.[1][7][8] Annabelle Comstock was murdered in 1895,[2] and her death was blamed on a maid named Daisy Fitzroy.[9]
