Hovercraft are airships appearing in Columbia during BioShock Infinite. They are used by the Columbian Citizens for transporting people and cargo, as well as security/offensive measures.
Types of Hovercraft[]
There are numerous types of hovercraft, all utilizing a Lutece Particle Lift System to float and move.
Gunship[]
Gunships are utilized by both the Founders and the Vox Populi to transport their soldiers, and occasionally provide fire support through an onboard Gun Automaton or a Barrage Automaton mounted on the underside of the hull. With the exception of the launcher on the rocket-firing variant, gunships are virtually immune to small arms fire and explosions, and can only be destroyed by the Songbird and Handymen.
Cargo Barge[]
Cargo Barges can be seen throughout Finkton. They are usually larger than the gunships used by the Founders and the Vox Populi and serve to move cargo in the industrial areas of Columbia.
Gondola[]
Gondolas are a type of Particle Lift craft that transport civilian passengers around Columbia. Many move along steel cables strung between two connected locations. Free ranging Gondolas, piloted by Automata, are see as well.
