Vitastat's General Purpose First Aid Kits are single-use items that contain all the essentials to substantially heal the citizens of Rapture. They have an instant effect when used, and the granted amount of health is restored immediately. Upon usage, First Aid Kits will grant either partial or maximum health, depending on how much damage the player took. They are packed into durable, small tin boxes and can be bought from the Circus of Values, found laying on their own, in possession of Splicers, dead bodies, or by destroying a Health Station.

Upon completion of research level two for Spider Splicers, Spider Splicer Organs become usable as First Aid Kits when collected.

BioShock

The player can carry up to nine kits at a time in BioShock.

Applicable Gene Tonics

• The Medical Expert line of Tonics will make each kit restore more health.
• The EVE Link line of Tonics will make each kit also restore a small amount of EVE.

BioShock 2

First Aid Kits used to promote the Wellness Center at the Adonis Luxury Resort.

In BioShock 2, the player can carry up to five First Aid Kits (six if using Medical Expert). Using one of these will replenish Delta's health to full, regardless of his maximum health capacity.

Applicable Gene Tonics

• Medical Expert increases the Kit carry capacity by one.
• EVE Link makes each Kit restore a small amount of EVE.
