Kelsey Berkley attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, from 2007 to 2011 and graduated with a BFA in illustration. Berkley has provided concept art for various projects, like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (2012) under Big Huge Games / 38 Studios and Infinity Blade: Dungeons (2013) under Epic Games Maryland. Berkley was hired by Irrational Games, as a concept artist for BioShock Infinite'sBurial at Sea, for which she provided various concepts and posters, including: Sally's doll Sarah, a Fontaine's arch, a Great Chain monument, the Little Wonders Educational Facility poster, The Business of Rapture is Business poster and the Nico-Time poster. She also did the Ryan the Lion Preparatory Academy propaganda posters and the educational short in the academy (inspired by the work of Robb Waters), as well as the illustrations for the Bathysphere displays in Bathyspheres DeLuxe. After the closing of Irrational Games, she was hired as an artist at Firaxis Games and worked on Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth (2014) and was given the title of Lead Concept Artist at Firaxis Games, which she currently holds, while working on Sid Meier's Civilization VI (2016).
