pictures[]
I was going to put up more pictures, like pictures of the altars and the straw fertility figurines. But I cant access bioshock right now, so it has to wait. --Nohjo 21:05, December 15, 2009 (UTC)
"Saturnine"[]
The actual word Saturnine can mean one of four things: being born under the influence of Saturn, containing lead of suffering from lead poisoning (like the Mad Hatter), being in a "cold" mood and slow to react, and lastly being gloomy or depressed. I'm tempted to say all four apply to the Saturnine Cult. Bluehawk2008 04:05, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
- The Saturnine guys do tend to make a lot references to poison (ie. "he brought the poison", or "he is the poison")Ant423 05:39, February 21, 2010 (UTC)Ant423
- The cult members call themselfs the Saturnine. Therefore I think it is unlikely that they call themselfs that because they think are slow to react, or because they are gloomy. If it is any of those four, It would be because they think that they are born under the influence of Saturn. Even Langford says that they think they are touched by ancient gods. So that would make sense. Nohjo 16:11, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
Straw figures[]
- The Saturnine mark most of their territory in Arcadia with straw framed dolls. These "dolls" bear a striking resemblance to Japanese, Wara Ningyos which are used mark deaths or ward off intruders.
- I moved this piece of trivia to the talk page because it seems to be just an coincidental similarity. There are many types of straw dolls in different cultures, but the exaggerated female curves on the straw figures in the game make it unlikely that those Japanese dolls were any kind of inspiration. As per the BioShock Wiki:Trivia Policy, similarities that aren't intended by the developers shouldn't be put on the page. ~Gardimuer

Models[]
What models are used in the Saturine Cult? It would be useful to know.
