Toaster in the Tub

Toaster in the Tub is an Achievement/Trophy in BioShock. The Achievement is worth 10 Gamerscore and the Trophy is bronze.

The player will have to shock an enemy standing in water with the Electro Bolt Plasmid.

The Electro Bolt Plasmid is obtained in the Bathysphere Station in Welcome to Rapture and is story-related, thus cannot be missed.
The enemy will have to stand in a flooded area, small water puddles will not count.
The player can hit the water or the enemy and it will count towards this Achievement/Trophy.
Any enemy shocked in water will count towards this Achievement/Trophy, except for Little Sisters.
The player will see when the water and the enemy are shocked, as electricity will race through them.
The enemy will not have to die for it to count towards this Achievement/Trophy.
- Splicers will die if they stand in water when shocked, in the early stages of the game.
Flooded areas can be found in every level.
The player can stand in the water while doing this, but they will take minor damage.

There are two locations in Welcome to Rapture specifically designed for this, serving as a tutorial. Atlas will contact the player via the Radio, saying: "If you spot a Splicer in the water, hit 'em with the Electro Bolt" when the player is near them (only once). These locations are:
- The Kashmir Restaurant's lower floor, around the statue of the Atlas Titan. After the player has ventured to the back of the kitchen in the restaurant, two Splicers will spawn in the water.
- The Transit Hub, on the staircase. Two Splicers are searching the corpse of a Bouncer Big Daddy.

It is recommended to use the game's intended tutorial (mentioned above) to get this Achievement/Trophy, as it is objectively the easiest way to do it.
As soon as you spot the enemy in the water, shoot the enemy or the water with Electro Bolt.
It is recommended to take a stealthy approach, as there is a possibility that the enemy will run away from the water if they see you and enter combat.
The player can lure an enemy into water by using several tactics:
- The player can use the Target Dummy Plasmid by placing a decoy in water. Thuggish Splicer, Spider Splicers, and Bouncers will attack it with close combat if they are near.
- The player can run to/through water and have an alerted enemy follow them into it.
- If there is only one enemy around, the Enrage Plasmid can be used to get an enemy to attack the player and if the player stands in water they can easily shock them when they approach.

The Achievement/Trophy icon depicts a toaster hanging by its cord.
The name "Toaster in the Tub" references the media trope of people dropping a toaster into a water-filled bathtub, killing the bather.
