Any player can go through this tantalizing tale and be awestruck at both the story and the art. What many people fail to miss are the philosophical lessons that are embed within Bioshock 2. Is there a page that has any reference to this? Sn1p3r K1Ilx 04:33, March 16, 2010 (UTC)Sn1p3r k1Ilx

Revamp Edit

I was telling Gardimuer and Willbachbakal about a revamp of a few pages that I am undertaking before the next game comes out. If you are interested, please look at the message I left on their talk pages. Any images or edits that you could contribute would be welcome.

On a side note, any developments with that picture of the Chemical Thrower?

IRC Edit

Perhaps if you have time, I would like to discuss a task for you on IRC.

Misc. Edit

  1. What's the difference between [[File:]] and [[Image:]]?
  2. What's the problem with getting the icon of Machine Buster tonic, exactly?
  3. Planning anything for BioShock 2 Launch? I'm going to the Launch Party for my GameStop. I just cut the hooks/handles off some swivel clothing hangers. I'm going to spraypaint them silver and put some red on it for the handle and tip. Going to go in my official Black Crow Mask, and Splicers Unite! shirt. I'm already Lanky like a Spider Splicer. They seem to wear the Black Crow Mask. I'll fit in perfectly!
  4. I would like to present you with this animated image, symbolizing our fight against vandalism:

Nice edit of the animation... But you could make it a separate file? I'm also using it on my userpage, and I've linked it on the 2K Boards for others to see... you should see the border thing I put around it, it's funny. Also, might want to fix "Suport" to "Support." ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 07:16, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

Help Captions Edit

I saw you are adding help captions to articles. Cool idea! I thought that this template might be nice to display them. Let me know what you think. ~Gardimuer 15px-Physical_Tonic.svg.png ʈalk } 06:12, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

The Launch trailer was amazing! I don't know if you have been following SITS, but the update for it tonight... wow. : [1] ~Gardimuer 15px-Physical_Tonic.svg.png ʈalk } 02:20, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
I know T_T It's so weird, but this makes me more anxious than any other thing related to BioShock 2 getting closer. I have grown so attached to Mark... T_T ~Gardimuer 15px-Physical_Tonic.svg.png ʈalk }

Little Sister Images Edit

They are both pretty good. I like the pose in the second one, but the first one is better because you can see more detail of the needle and her dress, and it doesn't have any lens flare from her eyes. ~Gardimuer 15px-Physical_Tonic.svg.png ʈalk } 21:39, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

I am curious of what system your using cause I see how your taking your photographs and when you do take them it looks like you got out of the player or you glitched out of the map like this one below

See it looks like you got out of the map in this photo but my guess is a pc if not please tell me thank you

Unstable Teleportation Plasmid Edit

Before I say/ask anymore, I need to ask this: Do you have BioShock 2?

I don't want to spoil anything... and Gardimuer got mad at even the vaguest description... ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 20:09, February 11, 2010 (UTC)

I just need you to take a video of it, and probably an animated gif of it when you get to it. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 12:58, February 14, 2010 (UTC)
Tell me when you've made it to Fontaine Futuristics in BioShock 2, okay? I need an animated gif of something, and since I can't have a PC version... and I know you're good at that stuff... Well, don't want to demand you, but I think you'd like to have one of it, anyway. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 01:48, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
Do you have Xbox Live? Maybe we can talk. You probably don't... Back on topic, do you know anyone else we can get us the source to make gif's of it, maybe? ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 02:14, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
  1. Good. Hopefully, by then, I'll have an open slot for you... And you'll have a headset.
  2. Gardimuer had to get it on her Sister's computer. She's only allowed to have the game on that, so she can't record. She thinks, if she gets a new computer, she could.
  3. Port may be a while... and it'd need to be animated, not just snapshots.
  4. BioShock 2 Xbox 360 Special Edition from GameStop. (Exclusive Multiplayer Characters)

Found anyone who can do it...? Just making sure... ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 03:06, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
Dang. Well, you've seen it ingame, right? If you ever get the chance, please make one... So awesome... ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 03:13, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Mapping Rapture Edit

I'm trying to create a map of rapture, i've made a couple notes about it on the Rapture discussion page. I'm in dire need of help from someone with good computer imaging skills, and who would be interested in seeing the result. I'm using Google Earth as an engine for people to view and explore the things in Rapture, but i need some help to get things going. If you would be willing to help me with some of the images, please leave me a message. Looking forward to hearing from you. Winston Hoffner 17:30, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

If there is another solid color that would be easier to use, that's fine by me. I don't need them resized because of the zoom features that the Google Earth engine uses. My main roadblock was that the images i edited down myself like shown, got the background stuck white. I need them to be transparent. I have already uploaded all the cut outs from the first 2 levels. you can see them here. I need the white background removed so that when i open the image to insert on the map the white doesn't show up. If you think it would be easier in the long run to switch the color of the floor to something more uniformed that's perfectly fine with me, i just need all the rest of the maps to follow suit. As on the main article for this project, the email for this is If you could fix those for me that would be much appreciated. Winston Hoffner 13:57, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

That's perfect, exactly what i need to have all the levels done like. Winston Hoffner 21:41, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Cool Beans Edit

:D That is really cool. I can't wait until the wiki has lots of good images from the second game! I keep watching the video and screenshots thread on the 2k forums to steal their images ; ) It will be such a long time before I can take good shots myself... I haven't even gotten to Dionysus Park yet, but since I started paying attention to the advertisement posters in the first BioShock I am amazed by how many there are in the second game. It feels like there are almost twice as many! How have you enjoyed the game so far? ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 09:44, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

About Special Edition Secrets Edit

I didn't even undo the holding string or whatever on the posters, didn't touch them at all. When the opening video came out and she said how they were such high grade prints or whatever... I just felt like "Damn, I'm never touching these. I'll ruin them, even by accident. I have a blacklight lightbulb, although not sure how it works... But never undoing those posters, out of fear. o_o ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 18:07, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

With my cable out for 24 hours straight, I decided to look at them... My black light didn't work, then I bent them a bunch trying to get them back into that cardboard circle thing... I feel sad now... ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 15:08, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

Louie McGraff Concept Art Edit

I'm wondering where you got that. It's not on CoR, and Google isn't blasting me with links or images of it. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 06:11, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Replies Edit

That is correct. I never heard back from either of them... I'm still not sure how I want to proceed on those subjects, so I 'll get back to you after I have talked to BlueIsSupreme about it. I promise, no more postponing these things ;) .

I noticed you uploaded another poster for "Why Even Ask"... now we have two! Which do you like better? ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 05:45, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

I finished the whole game last night! I hope to touch up the audio diary pages and add transcripts of radio messages in the next few days. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 06:09, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
Hmm... well, I think I would have to play it through at least one more time to really form an opinion. There were some parts of the game that really affected me, or seemed really cool/funny. Mostly it was the little things that caught my interest. I loved the things the Little Sisters said, the way some splicers would seem to be carrying on conversations when you first enter a room, the fact that Cohen's Scherzo plays when you gather ADAM from the corpse in Cohen's Colection... Gil Alexander was very amusing! "Fired! Fired! Fired!" The part playing as a Little Sister was really cool; the statues of Delta and the way the Little Sister would suddenly snap out of the dreamlike world at sudden jarring moments. I really liked all the NPCs... I was surprised at Sinclair's fate; not what happened to him, but how he took it. I wasn't expecting him to be altruistic; I figured he would try to survive by killing Delta and hope to break the mind control on his own later... but his fate did really sadden me.
I ended up killing all the choice NPCs except Grace. I didn't feel bad about Stanley, but I did feel bad about Gil because his end was so gruesome. So I got the "best" ending... I'm still not sure how I feel about it, for good or bad. I don't really have any gripes about single player, but from the tiny bit I have played of multiplayer, I am really not impressed with it. I think there are far better multiplayer games out there. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 06:59, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

About recording Audio Diaries Edit

You said you have it for 360? I really don't suggest second-hand recording these. We'd be better off just ripping the files. I, for one, hate the background noises and such with that type of recording. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 15:08, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

You're missing the point: It's a rip, whereas we could take files directly from the game, completely clean and without any error. I see no point to your method of obtaining sound. We don't even use it here, and... I don't see why you'd want to do it, there's no purpose or anything. What is there to be enlightened about? ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 17:23, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
Yep, sounds like you were missing programs and such. It should extract all the audio files as specially formatted .WAV files. From there, you need to run them in a compatible player. You can convert them to .mp3's if you want, I did for my DSi so I can listen to Gather's Garden and Circus of Values sounds, as well as "The Wild Bunny," on the go. But the way you record it leaves extra space, may cut into quotes, etc. To have it all cleanly seems best, and just because you record it cleanly doesn't make it flawless and perfect.
I really hate encountering re-recordings with questionable quality online, when it's not too difficult to get nearly direct versions of it. You get every little bit of audio, even parts they later layered. I remember, when checking direct files for BioShock 1, I found the audio of the Little Sister going "Papa Suchong!" from the audio diary where he is killed. You can't rip that from the diary itself, as it was also in the diary file. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 17:43, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
I guess you missed my messages, but I also keep ripped versions of BioShock 1 even though my computer can't run the game itself. The files can still be ripped, so I keep the game there. I'm currently torrenting a ripped version of BioShock 2 for the same reason. I justify this by saying I've bought the game for other platforms first, and I won't actually be using the games themselves, only having limited access to files. (Only a majority of the audio, to be exact.)
Anyway, I'm not saying your bad at recording, I'm saying inconsistencies with the original audio are unavoidable with your method. I'd rather be 99% sure the audio is perfect with a simple conversion of the direct files. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 18:26, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
It would be nice to have, although it could make edit wars more easily as people have direct access to diaries that they then say "No, they said this!" Even worse if we go by the ingame transcripts and they're slightly off from the actual audio. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 18:51, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

For better or worse, the OGG player extension is now enabled. Have fun! ; ) ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 22:29, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

There has only been controversy over a diary transcript once in the past, when the diaries on the Cult of Rapture were available for anyone to listen to. But I am pretty sure that was just an isolated incident; most people aren't fanatical enough to debate over tiny things like that.
I think it will be nice to have audio files up to show when the actual audio differs from the transcript that is provided in game. I am still a bit apprehensive about copyright, but I don't feel like borrowing troubles at the moment, so we'll burn that bridge when we come to it. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 23:18, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
I created a copyright template for it: {{2K Audio}}. You should be able to add the template to files from the upload page now. I also changed the audio diary template so you can add a link to audio files in it. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 03:26, March 2, 2010 (UTC)
I tried to make an audio diary into a .ogg for the site and failed. Something struck me when I tried to upload it: It was showing a broken video box. I got an idea, tried it, and it works! Gardimuer saw it, btw:
Look what I did!
~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 07:52, March 2, 2010 (UTC)
I created a new template for displaying audio in pages. I thought it might be nice to have the audio files in a small box, like at Wikipedia or on the Final Fantasy Wiki. Here is the template: Template:Listen, and here is an example of it in an article: Rise, Rapture, Rise#There's Something in the Sea. Let me know what you think. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 21:28, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

Remember Kids! Edit

Well, I finished getting BioShock 2 PC, and right in the BinkVideo folder for Single Player was 3 videos entitled "Remember Kids!" I pretty sure I saw them on TV's on Adonis level, although it could be on others. Too bad the audio wasn't directly in the files, though (if there was any, I didn't hear any ingame either). ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 02:09, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

Two Multiplayer Images Edit

I did some conversions of Bink Videos from BioShock 2, and I think these two do could both work on the Multiplayer page. One is a much larger version of the file I put, the other is a loading screen we saw about a year ago that still exists.

~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 06:16, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

I figured out where I saw the first one: It's the Hunting the Big Sister logo, but with "Fall of Rapture" instead. Oddly, there's a smaller .bmp version of the second version, but the video version is massive.
Anyway, I was hoping we could use them on the Multiplayer Page. Just need them cut out correctly, which I don't have time to. You can take your time, or just say you don't want to, but wondering if you agree and would like to. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 02:09, March 3, 2010 (UTC)
I'd like to revive this request. I need the second image cut out like my smaller version here. Whenever you can, please? ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 17:38, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
Wow, that's even better than I expected, thanks! You do such good work. 18px-Awesome.png And someday, we'll get a cut out of the first image for trivial purposes. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 09:47, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Spoilers Edit

I am not very sure on this myself. We can't call everything from the games a spoiler, because that would make a specific warning tag redundant... I guess you should ask BlueIsSupreme about it; he has been here longer and might have a more informed opinion. A "spoilers end here" tag might be nice... I don't have any idea for how it should look though. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 18:21, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

It really is difficult to draw any specific line, but general principle would dictate that spoilers have to do with story, characters, and events. Items, plasmids, etc. are really to be considered plot-neutral. For certain things, like Summon Eleanor, that are clearly character-driven, their should be a spoilers tag.

Also, I believe you will find a "Spoilers End Here" image to be almost useless. If you look at the pages that have the spoilers tag, they are almost all heavy plot content. Most of the non-spoiler content is before the spoiler content, and the spoilers are prevalent through the rest of the article (Subject Delta is a good example of this).

If there is anything you would like to add, please let me know.

BlueIsSupreme 22:17, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that page is another great example of a good format. General information first, and game (spoiler) information after. Works great. And yes, I would still like to speak to you.

BlueIsSupreme 07:59, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Would you kindly Edit

It was awesome that you fixed the Sinclair photo (made it clearer and got rid of the cross hairs) but, can you do the same for the new Tenenbaum photo, would you kindly? --Gearslover01 23:41, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

I really wish they had put the Unstable Teleport Plasmid in BS 2, but I could have understood the ups and downs, as in you could put a teleport marker at the first bathysphere in BS, and teleport to Fontaine's elevator in the last level. That would be hilarious, yet undeniably cheap.

Tenenbaum Edit

YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB! Now, it looks proffesional, thank you so much! --Gearslover01 03:14, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

About the Credits Edit

Are you sure you're up to it? The credits are HUGE. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 22:38, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

It'd be better to just put videos of them, then to manually type them out and risk minor errors and such. Secondhand typing doesn't ensure everyone will trust it. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 22:52, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

If you are going to do the credits page, will it include the concept arts seen in the credits? Bioshock123 02:07, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

A credits page is a good idea. I have been thinking that it might eventually be nice to have bio articles on each developer, or at least the important ones. I suggest making a separate credits page for each game. It could turn out looking a bit like this: Example. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 05:26, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

Brigid Tenenbaum Unused Audio Edit

I was running through game audio, and found radio messages of her commenting on if the player has saved or harvested all the Little Sisters in an area. I outlined it here, but Gardimuer says the audio shouldn't be played on the page itself since it's unused. Where do you think the below table should go where it can still be accessed as reference for the trivia? And don't say Talk Page, because I have the fear it'll get archived.

Background Image etc.Edit

I like the Big Sister addition ;) Actually, I was thinking of something more like the deep ocean. Something like in a deep ocean trench, with maybe a few dim bubble clusters and creepy glowing things. If it were a dark image it would blend well with the concept art of the city. Any image we choose for the background will need to either be very, very large (wider and taller than the greatest possible computer screen resolutions; 2560x2048) or it needs to be something that can repeat as a texture without the repetition being noticeable. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 03:20, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

I like the attacking one best (#1). The second one is a good example of them on the ceiling, so you could put that one on the page too, if you wanted. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 14:59, March 9, 2010 (UTC)
I just created a page about Console Commands. Would you like to add the location of User.ini on the Mac, and maybe add/clarify anything I missed? ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 20:40, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

Nice idea for the favicon. Unfortunately, it isn't visible for people who have dark colored internet browsers. I noticed because I use Personas for FireFox and my browser is usually dark. I guess you are using a version of this for the icon. Maybe instead of transparency you could give the area inside the icon a sort-of rusted copper color; green shading to blue instead of shades of tan; like the colors of the BioShock 2 Multiplayer logo. You should probably ask BlueIsSupreme about this too, to see what he thinks of having a new favicon. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 15:13, March 13, 2010 (UTC)

On Extracting Audio Edit

Well, can you tell me any details? The file extensions, what they're named, which files you used it on, etc? ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 23:52, March 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm. That works for me, I know the file you tried. I guess it must a a codec problem. Try downloading and installing FMOD Ex Programmers API, then try again. You could also try other downloads there. It could install FMod Codecs so MusicPlayerEx can play correctly. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 21:27, March 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm. I actually tried making my own after your message, didn't turn out nearly as good as yours. I like it, and think it'd work better than our B. Right now, you can only barely tell it's a B. The coloring doesn't work on mine. In fact, as I was typing this, I just noticed it was a gray B with a really thick shadow. Fontaine Futuristics Icon Edit

I'm not sure which icon you mean. Are you asking about the one that appears on the monitor in Rapture Central Control (This one)? If so, then yes, it was from a screenshot I took :p I had to mess with it a bit to fill in some spots that were blocked by hanging machinery, which is why the edges looked rough... but I just replaced it with a modified version from the game textures (courtesy of the Rapture Archives?). ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 09:01, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

They recently released a trailer for the Rapture Metro Pack. I put a youtube video of it on the article for it, and I was hoping you could extract some images from the video. Although, I'm not sure if my youtube version of it is the highest quality/definition, so if you find the time, maybe you could find that before extracting any images.

Those animations people in it would be nice additive images for userpages or maybe even some articles. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 23:05, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Very nice image you took. Now we just need BioShock 2 Mac so you can get similar screenshots. You did say you use Mac for this and need it for Mac, right? ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:34, May 20, 2010 (UTC)
It would be hilarious if that somehow worked a way to port BioShock 2 to also work on the iPad. Of course that's not possible, but back on subject, I do hope so. If not, we will never have your amazing eye for screenshots on the game. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 06:04, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

About my Talk Page Edit

Also, do you like how I have assembled my Talk page? It portrays corruption, but it actually hides the real section. I also added sections for if users add messages to archived pages, like D.Ryan has done. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 06:04, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm, editing using that button works for me. In fact, it all works. Any specifics about how it's not working?
Also, yes it is. I started out trying to put a fake version of that on the page, then I messed with the code and decided it'd be cooler to offset it like that and make it look like it's part of a corrupt page. I just wanted the page to look broken, to discourage anyone who might not have important statements to give... Or maybe I have no reason, and am just making up one. I don't know. Still wish you had some Mac-client that can contact MSN third-party. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 02:39, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

About Xbox Live Edit

I won't be on Xbox Live until sometime next month due to issues. But you can spend this time ranking up and such, maybe getting Rapture Metro Pack and Rebirth'ing, even. Until then, you can still send me a friend request: The Prophet1400. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 01:45, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Something Ant brought to my attention Edit

He put an audio diary image on Ducky Donovan's Talk page. I thought it was Relight's site, but it was Abigails. Apparently, she either figured out how to extract the diary images, or figured out how to make our messy ones look pristine in edited borders from Cult of Rapture. I feel it's the prior. Here's a listing on the diaries (Note: Tell your browser to block the Diaries swf files. They eat up bandwidth that should be used to load the page.):

There's even unused images, although seem of the "Unused" images are used for different platforms by some erroneous glitch. Any comments? ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:41, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

I saw these pictures and that's exactly the same format like the pictures from Cult of Rapture. Also, BioShock 1's pictures seems to have the same edited borders than these ones if you look closely (like for Fontaine's picture). One last thing, the picture for Nigel Weir on this site is the true one. Pauolo 11:46, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, Bioshock 1's pictures in very good quality are also on this site : I'm sure now that she extracted them from the game. Also, maybe the unused diary's pictures and unused audio diaries would be added to the game with a DLC for the solo campaign ? it was mentioned that this possibly next DLC would add some contents about the story. Pauolo 11:55, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
I talked to Relight soon after messaging you. He tells me Abigail has a program to extract them that she won't share. I decompiled DiaryMessages.swf from the multiplayer and found some code which might lead me to the names used to extract files. I could consult the person who made UModel with it and see if he can figure any of it out. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 22:39, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

Unstable Teleport Gif Edit

I recently downloaded Fraps and managed to capture some footage of the Unstable Teleport Plasmid. I made a gif animation out of it (which you can see on my user page). BlueIsSupreme thinks that it might be a cool feature to put on the main page- something that would "teleport" people to random pages (Special:Random). Unfortunately, the gif editing software I have is only the most basic, so the animation I made is very poor quality.

Would you be interested in creating a better version? It would be nice if we had a version with transparency that actually loops smoothly (instead of the jump during every cycle in the one I made). If you are willing, I can give you a MegaUpload link to a larger gif version to work with. Let me know what you think. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 00:25, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry for the long wait! I was detained by other things until recently... anyway, here is the link:
I hope it works. I tried compressing the file to an archive to make it smaller, but it is still very large. Let me know if you have any problems with it. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 22:19, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
Alright, I'll start work on breaking it up. Hopefully I can get the pieces to you tomorrow. As for BioShock Infinite... I really have been out of the loop for weeks- it is quite surprising, and I am both excited and anxious about it... it sounds so different from the world of the original BioShock. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 23:41, August 12, 2010 (UTC)
Here's the new link: The zipped file should contain 5 gif files, each with 100 frames.
About the "hotspots" customization... yes, we could customize the colors and the icon for the fire. I don't think we can customize the layout (not without using JavaScript, which is beyond my abilities). I actually think it looks fine how it is, although I am open to suggestions if you have cool ideas. Keep in mind that any customization we do might be invalidated by Wikia if they change the layout of MyHome in the future. That's what happened to your lovely Wikisticky customization- Wikia decided it was a failed feature and removed it across all wikis :( ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 09:02, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
As seen here, I already adapted Gardimuer's image as an avatar on another forum. I have the full size, transparent background version, too. But I do notice the sudden shifts in color and such, hopefully it can be fixed. Although I love Gardimuer's attempt. :o ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 21:01, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

I tested your custom page-rating sprites. They are very good! :) I'll get BlueIsSupreme to try them, and if he likes them then we'll start using them right away.
Unfortunately, I can't give you a movie file of the recorded footage. The file is too big and I can never get MegaUpload to take it. Also, half the footage doesn't focus on the plasmid bottle, but I don't have any lossless programs that can edit it down to just the parts you would need... and as a final reason, I am now away at college, having left the only copy of the file on a separate computer back at home :P ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 02:53, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

That is amazing! I might just go preorder my self a magazine for those awesome covers :D
About the frame rate: I'm not sure. It was the default for the fraps program, whatever that it is (I can't check because I don't have fraps on this computer) but the frame rate may also have lagged a bit from the load on my cpu/graphics card. Is it important? If the problem is getting the colors to cycle at the correct rate, just choose whatever frame rate looks best, and maybe compare to a video on youtube. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 23:03, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

BioShock Infinite Edit

Earlier today you added content about BioShock Infinite... I read the description for it and I am a little dissapointed... I am dissapointed to see that the BioShock Infinite is outside of Rapture and placed in a floating city called Columbia... I want to know your opinion on the game...

Electro Bolt 01:34, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Ken Levine's announcement... Edit

I have just read the announcement, and now I am not dissapointed about the game. I am glad that Irrational games is making BioShock Infinite instead of 2K, because 2K can work on a BioShock 3 set in Rapture. Thank you for the link to Ken Levine's announcement on BioShock Infinite. I am eagerly awaited the upcoming sequel...

Electro Bolt 23:39, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

I've found some difficulty removing it from the black background of the large wallpaper off Irrational Games' site. The problem mostly occurs with the frayed ends of the flag at the bottom. I really don't understand how to cut something like that in a good fashion and eventually gave up. You seem to have done a job there, maybe you have a full size? I'd like that to be the logo on BioShock Infinite's article, instead of a white background, small one.

Off Topic Note: I'm thinking of making a new animated Rapture News thing, using the BioShock Infinite trailer. Any suggestions on how it should work? ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 00:42, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Achievements Edit

Those are pretty cool :) If the BioShock Wiki ever gets the achievement system (as has been proposed...) we might adapt some of those. What do you think, would achievements on BioShock Wiki be a good thing? ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 02:16, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

Mysterious... Edit

I notice you have uploaded some File:EDlTOR wikia logo.png images. I'm just a bit curious what you are using them for. <notserious> You don't like my spiffy under-sea background, is that what it is?? *cries*</notserious> But yeah, ; ) is there a special reason why? ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 03:13, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, that sounds amazing! I have been considering something like that as well, as the news of Infinite sinks in. I think it would be excellent if we a had Columbia themed layout for all pages about the new game, and the Rapture layout for all the other BioShock pages. The Avatar Wiki has had something like that for a while. They actually have four themes: A unique mainpage theme, a Film theme, Fanon theme, and cartoon theme. I love the logo you made, and the background also fits perfectly! If you get it looking spiffy then we could certainly arrange for it to be implemented. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 20:14, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
I just tested out your masthead thing using Firebug, and I must say that looks awesome. Can't wait for the completed layout... You're sooooooo talented. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 02:39, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

A Request Edit

I have one question, and a request asking the same thing. The only thing that we are really "lacking" currently is weapon, plasmid, and tonic icons for BioShock 2 and multiplayer. How did you get all those nice icons from before? Was it something you extracted? If you have the time, would you care to extract the ones we need? Your presence is definitely missed here.

BlueIsSupreme 21:50, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Wiki Skin Edit

I like it. The only thing is that it is difficult to see the gold-yellow lettering for links.

BlueIsSupreme 06:02, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

You know what we need... we need a "Welcome to the BioShock WIki" horizontal banner that we can put on the main page. Any ideas?

BlueIsSupreme 06:15, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

Icon Edit

Wikia's cache tends to lag for things like this. I deleted the previous versions, but I suggest you upload the icon as a new file. The Games template especially has trouble updating for new versions of files since it is transcluded on so many pages. Uploading a separate file is probably the best solution in any case. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 03:32, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

That does look much better! What do you think of making an icon for the Minerva's Den DLC? I might be able to work on it if I get time, but if you made one it would probably be higher quality. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 04:41, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
College is eh~ I have a strange schedule because I am taking the normal number of class hours, but I basically only have classes 2 days per week. About the Minerva's Den icon: I'm not sure it has a distinct logo. The PS3 store doesn't show one: The owl image would do nicely, though. Looking at the PS3 store listings, I see the Sinclair Solutions logo in blue. It might be nice eventually to replace our gray-scale multiplayer icon with a blue one. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 14:24, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

O_O OMG! Thanks a lot! You're a genius, this one is perfect! That's very generous of you. Thanks again ^^ Pauolo 20:35, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Photosynths Edit

We would love to have any photosynths you are willing to make, and I don't think there is a need to ask permission. It will be great if we can work out a way to embed them in pages. Have you tested embedding a photosynth on a wiki page? If need be, we can ask in the community forums for help setting it up. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 00:31, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Screenshots Edit

I noticed that you got several screenshots from the demo for BioShock Infinite, and I seen your userpage saying how you take shots from the game, but how do you take pictures from videos? Incando 22:19, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, okay, is there a way to download Quick Time Player? Because I would like to de able to upload photos on this wiki, rather than just surf the web for images that are probably already on this wiki. Incando 22:42, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Saltonstall image Edit

It's great that you managed to find a larger shot. Can you load another one similar to what I put up, since the one I put up showed his button shifted from US patriot to that of the Communist Hammer and Scythe. it happens at 3:23 in the video. thanks. Evans0305 23:14, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Once again, Thanks.Evans0305 00:00, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

VERY mad at you Edit

I was supposed to take this whole day out for an essay, but I instead worked all day to pull frames from the video. I come back, and literally like most of the screens I pulled, you already uploaded. Duuuuuude, you caused this to be a waste for me soooo bad. :( ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 00:53, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

Expanding above: My Quicktime Player kept freezing up. As I said, my computer is crap. As such, I went through this huge process to find a program I could both pull screenshots from and actually run the video enough to find the frames. I had to convert the video to .avi without audio and such to clear it enough to get all the shots. And then I come here, all happy I got so many shots, and you already uploaded most of them.
But I notice a few you don't have, which is good. Also, you should note that, while looking at the poster above the guns, Charles is already standing and watching the player. I found that awesome. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 01:03, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I'm fine. It was momentary. I'm sure you can upload better versions of my images, but I set out a bunch. I do notice, now, that I have no place for File:Poster (Time 0 00 53;07).png, though... But meh. I also have a bunch of unsorted images, and I uploaded a shot of Harper's Grocery. I'll make an article on it and Gardimuer can decide how relevant it is, but I think the shot justifies for the thought... ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 01:35, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

Hello, again. I had this frame from the video, got to slicing it yesterday, but I need help getting a cleaner version. I think my conversions and all made it so blurry, and PhotoShop CS3 wasn't able to help much. Could you upload over this with a better version, if you get the time? The time in the video I got it is in the filename, as Camtasia does on frame saves. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 00:25, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Majora's Mask Hack Edit

Well, I recently added someone from the Blockland community I've known, and he linked me to that page on it. Watched the 5 videos on the page, you might also notice I did some minor page cleanup on the page and made a weird userpage.

Anyway, I've been playing Majora's Mask on an emulator the past few hours because of this video. It's so awesome. The crazy statue, the music, cutting scenes, and burning reverse Song of Healing. I thought the BEN.wmv video was scariest because of a specific moment I can't even remember out of fear. But I want the ROM this guy was using...

One more thing: The emulator I have had preset cheats for Majora's Mask, and there's a set for Beta Levels. Moving between maps in it works a lot like the videos... I'd be on the snowy area, then in Goron's tomb, then... god, it's so freaky. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 21:06, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oh no no, I've played it back when it was new. But I was a bit young, so my brother mostly played it. I couldn't really comprehend enough for a full playthrough, and some themes scared me, but I've loved this game for a long time. This stuff just brought it all back. A bit off topic, but I have a new blog post on a video I made with the emulator, Fraps, and Camtasia Studio 7. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:33, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

New skin Edit

MegaScience has confirmed that Special:Mypage/wikia.css is the correct place to put personal customizations for the new skin. You can look through the MediaWiki:Wikia.css to see some of the customizations that will be needed. Also, I suggest you use a web development tool that will let you observe and test CSS directly on pages. The Firebug extension for Firefox is especially useful.

Also, I like your new profile picture :) ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 20:37, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Teleportation Edit

Are you using the same program as you did for the other animated gif images you uploaded? The only thing I can think of is that it might be caused by the large number of frames. Could you try reducing the number of frames to see if it turns out better? ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 04:40, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

As seen on the new BioShock Infinite wallpapers, they slightly adjusted the logo. Gardimuer says otherwise, but... I was thinking you could cut the logo out of the page. Low priority, but I'd still like to mention it. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:25, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

I am curious if this version of the logo is a bit shorter than the other. Either way, it might be more useful to use as the logo of the wiki. I still feel to ask if you may cut this out. Also, I left other messages. Make sure to check them. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:41, February 13, 2011 (UTC)
File:Bioshock Infinite Logo2.png I have cut the newer logo using the older one as a template. It seems they reduced the amount of flag under it, so I'm curious if you could manually remove those bits? I am not as good at such removal as you. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:28, February 14, 2011 (UTC)
I've edited the file given in the previous post, cutting it best I can. As the upload summery states, it was the best I could do from my perspective. Maybe you'd have better luck, but now all I need is the "INFINITE" text removed without disrupting the circular cut background. Thank you. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 18:47, March 2, 2011 (UTC)
Well, I have a shortcut you might take. Here, someone on a forum I utilize has made a cleared version of the original logo. If you can match the background tinting, it could be cut and overlaid on the newer logo, after some resizing. I'm just not sure how to match like that as of yet.

Good things come... Edit

Amazing! It's better than I ever could have expected! I really appreciate it that you persevered to make this. :) I see you did some extensive tweaking to it. Did you use the frames I sent you, or did you find better footage to use? I'm curious how you got it looking so clear. I did notice one small error: the head of the bottle widens for a few frames. Other than that, it's amazing.

By the way, I've mostly completed an Infinite theme for the new skin. Unfortunately, the new skin loads very slowly, so I will need to reduce the file size of the wiki's background images before I finalize it. If you want, you can test out the Infinite theme by copying my User:Gardimuer/wikia.css to your wikia.css. I've also made a version of the Rapture theme for Monobook, in case people prefer it over the new skin. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 06:56, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

Whoa, why wasn't I informed by either of you. As I said to Registered contributor: Makes me feel very insulted EDlTOR and her started passing along a new Unstable Teleportation Plasmid image without me. She could easily tell me if he did this. I have EDlTOR on Xbox Live and he hasn't mentioned... I'm feeling left out. Meh... Cool... I'll get on making myself an avatar of it like I did the old one for Blockland forums. Talk to me next time. :( ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 10:12, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

I've been working more on the Infinite theme for the wiki. I'm trying some changes to the images you originally uploaded so it will work best with the "New Wikia Look".

  • I made the background image like a watermark (washed out colors) to reduce file size. This would hopefully reduce page load times. Here's my version of the file: File:EDlTOR_Background_wgradient.jpg. It's not as pretty, but a small file size could be much better for people with slow internet connections.
  • We need a shorter version of the Infinite themed logo you uploaded. Currently it won't fit at the top of the page, but it could work if the frayed-flag part at the bottom was removed. Could you do it? If not, could you give me a larger version of the logo so I can adjust it?

~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 01:50, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

Gimp file? I just installed Gimp, loaded it up. The logo looks nice, although I feel the "WIKI" is a bit... thick. It's cool, although that's my only problem with it. In fact, after just checking the original logo... Shouldn't it be much thicker, and the background being silver? It'd be awesome to keep as original as possible.
Edit: So that's the banner? You can't tell that with the logo covering it. Feels odd to put that there, actually... I might try my hand at this, although I don't wish to impose...
Off topic, but the last times I was on Xbox, I'd see you log in and back out instantly. Why is that? I'd like to talk to you again! ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 10:32, January 25, 2011 (UTC)
I noticed that there is a circular texture in it, like a metal working tool was used on it. That will be difficult to reproduce, so I have decided to ask for help on that part. I'll also look up the logo's font for exact reproduction. It'll be like Sonyc.
And also, I do wish we could play again sometime, but fine. Tonguesmiley.gif I'm finally a Captain in it... had the game since September. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 16:49, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

Charinfobox: Adjusted for BioShock Infinite Edit

Over the past few hours, I've been working with some CSS code to make Charinfobox presentable when we add the Columbia skin. With Gardimuer's help, we believe we've perfected a look. My wikia.css has the code if you wish to check. Just use a Charinfobox with a line reading "|idType =columbiaStripes" after applying my wikia.css to check it. It uses special code so that, no matter which fields are used, it will always retain stripes. It's using your Columbia images for backgrounds, as well. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:29, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

Icons Edit

For a long while the wiki has been needing clean icons of Plasmids, Tonics, etc. from BioShock 2. I recently tried making a vector version of a Tonic icon:

Clean cureallFile:Cure all.png|150px

I'd like to know your opinion: Should we use vectored icons like this in articles? ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 01:59, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

It was actually pretty easy to make. :P Inkscape is good for making vectors, and for the background I just combined a bunch of other icons and erased their colored parts. My concern is that these vectored icons would not be accurate to the true icon image in the game (which we can't see because it's covered up with glow.) For all we know, the real icons could be in a different format, like the Gatling Gun one. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 02:28, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

Question about Bouncer render Edit

Hey Editor. I was wondering if you created the render of the Bouncer Big Daddy yourself? If so, I was wondering how you did the texture on the glass of the portholes... I haven't found a separate mesh for the glass and the Bouncher mesh doesn't have a submaterial for the portholes. 03:06, March 18, 2011 (UTC)

Making vector images Edit

I don't know of any good tutorials, but I can tell you how I do it. I use the free vector editing program Inkscape. You can find a list of tutorials for Inkscape here: [2]. Inkscape has a tool to automatically trace images and make vector versions of them, but I find that this tool uses a huge amount of processing power when you try to make a high quality image, and it can never really be as exact as tracing an image yourself. However, it may be the best option in some circumstances.

You can experiment with doing automatic tracing of images in Inkscape. I find that it works best with relatively simple images that don't have many gradients, such as cartoon/anime characters. To try it, do the following:

  1. Open Inkscape and click on the file icon for "Open an existing document" in the 2nd row of the top toolbar. Browse for the image you want to vector, and import it into the program. On the popup, choose "embed" and click OK. This image will be your template to trace over.
  2. Go to Path -> Trace Bitmap in the top toolbar. This will open a popup.
  3. Click on the image you imported to select it.
  4. In the popup, you can adjust many settings to try to get the optimal version. If it is a color image, choose "Colors" in the "Multiple scans" section of the Mode tab. You can adjust the number of "Scans", which is basically the number of different grouped shapes the trace will make, each group with a different color. The more scans it does, the more accurate it will be to the image.
  5. You can experiment with leaving the Smooth, Stack scans and Remove background options checked and unchecked. I find that it is usually best to leave Stack scans checked. If you leave it unchecked and do a large number of scans, you will end up with something that looks like pixel art.
  6. It's also worthwhile to experiment with the settings on the "Options" tab, but I don't have much experience with that.
  7. When you are ready for it to trace, make sure your background image is selected, and click "OK" in the popup.
  8. Ogle at the superiority of automated intelligence.
  9. When your vector image is complete, go to File -> Export Bitmap. In the popup, choose Page for the Export area. Adjust the Bitmap size to the dimensions you want, choose a file name, and then click Export. This makes a png that you can open in other programs.

(The following is a tutorial for vectoring images by hand.)

How I vector icons in Inkscape
  1. Open Inkscape and click on the file icon for "Open an existing document" in the 2nd row of the top toolbar. Browse for the image you want to vector, and import it into the program. On the popup, choose "embed" and click OK. This image will be your template to trace over.
  2. Once you have your image in the program, click on the "Draw Bezier curves and straight lines" tool in the left sidebar. Using the tool, draw a line on the icon. (It doesn't really matter where.)
  3. On the top toolbar, go to Object -> Fill and Stroke to open up the Fill and Stroke toolbox. You can use this to change the stroke color or size of selected lines or to change the color and gradient fill of objects.
  4. On the left sidebar, click on the "Edit paths by nodes" tool. You can use this to move points of an existing path segment or to add nodes to a segment. You can also use it to change the curve properties of a path and drag the curve to different shapes.
  5. Click on the line you drew on the image to select it. Click on the icon for "Convert selected object's stroke to paths" in the 3rd row of the top toolbar. This makes your line a rectangular shape with an automatic fill.
  6. In the "Fill and Stroke" toolbox, change the shape to have no fill and an easy to see stroke color. This will make it easier for you to adjust the shape to match the image behind it.
  7. Using the "Edit paths by nodes" tool, you can now drag the sides or nodes of this shape to match a roughly solid colored part of the image in the background. For example, if you were vectoring File:Eve saver.png you would drag the shape to match the entire pink area of the pig. Then, repeating steps 2-6 you would make separate shapes to match the brown areas of shadow around the pig, a shape for the eye, a shape for the blue drop, etc.
    1. You can add nodes to the shape by clicking the icon for "Insert new nodes into selected segments" in the third row of the top toolbar, or by just double clicking (or Mac equivalent) on a selected line.
    2. Click on a node to see its handles. The handles allow you to adjust the curves around the node. You can also change the curve properties of the node by clicking on various icons in the 3rd row of the top toolbar.
  8. When you have all your shapes drawn, adjust the stroke and fill colors of each to match the image in the background.
  9. You can save your vector image as a SVG file if you want to work on it again. When your vector image is complete, go to File -> Export Bitmap. In the popup, choose Page for the Export area. Adjust the Bitmap size to the dimensions you want, choose a file name, and then click Export. This makes a png that you can open in other programs.
  10. Now you can open your exported png file in a regular image editing program to match it with an empty base for the icon (which I can give you, if you want it). If your exported png is the right size, you just center it over the empty base and save. If not, you might need to adjust the size of your export.
Other tips (gradients, combining shapes, layers)
  • I find it easiest to keep the stroke color of each shape a bright solid color until I have finished drawing every shape.
  • In some cases you can use a solid fill color to match an icon, but I found it best to use a linear or radial gradient fill most of the time. (This tutorial can give you the gist of how to make gradients: [3])
  • In some cases you may want to draw many separate shapes with the same fill and stroke color. You can group these shapes to adjust their colors at the same time. Hold down shift (or the Mac equivalent) while clicking to select each shape you want to combine. On the top toolbar, go to Path -> Combine. Now all the selected shapes have the same color properties. Note that this will also move all the selected shapes to the same layer, which may cover up other shapes you drew if you are not careful. On the Path dropdown you can also do other forms of combination, like Union to combine the area of two touching shapes, or Exclusion to make a shape with pieces cut out inside it.
  • You can adjust the order of layers by using the options in the Layer dropdown of the top toolbar.

I hope it's helpful. Good luck. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 04:02, March 29, 2011 (UTC)
Just a reminder: You all got the idea to do this here from me. :( ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 19:46, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

Copyright dropdown Edit

To add something to the licensing tag drop down at Special:Upload, you need to be an admin and edit MediaWiki:Licenses. The basic format of that page is:
*Section name
**License template name1|License description1
**License template name2|License description2
Of course, before you add a licensing option to the list, you would need to create the template page for the tag you want to use. See Category:Copyright tags for all the copyright templates we have at BioShock Wiki. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 15:38, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

A Couple Requests Edit

I know you aren't very active here anymore, but I was wondering if you'd fill a request.

I think it would be great if we could finish the 'clean' series of BDs with a High Res image of a Little Sister. So similar to what you did with the Bouncer, a transparent background LS. Stance neutral or engaged (combat might be cooler/more revealing).

I understand if it's too much to ask, I can imagine editing anything out around a Little Sister would be difficult, but we're kind of lacking a true model and the only one I've tried was butchered as hell (I'm a GIMP novice :/)

Either way thanks, and great contributions as always.

EDIT: The Bouncer pic is from BtM.

"The Wild Bunny" 07:16, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Alright thanks. IIRC you posted a lot of of the really nice icon pictures right? Or are those taken from the source files? I thought most of them were credited to you, but I may be mistaken.
Anyways, as one other request... I've noticed that a single set of them that are actually in the game (a tonic and it's upgraded version) are rather poor quality. Not sure why this is and I can't secure a better version myself.

"The Wild Bunny" 09:51, May 14, 2011 (UTC)
I see. How odd they would have the icons for both Vending Expert and Eve Saver, but not Machine Buster (nice duping of VE2 btw). They even have the icons for the tonics that didn't make it!
Assumably it could be retrieved from the program files after a PC version had been patched, but I'm a Mac guy too... ah well. I'll see if I can scrounge up a copy later. Btw the BD image you used is from BtM.
Last thing: do you know the requirements behind joining the Cult of Rapture? I assume it's either programming team+sponsors+vips+etc or was accepting people a long time ago (2007). If it's still possible to join do you know how? I though I'd raid them for some wiki content >.>

Aid with Z.H. Comstock? Edit

A relatively large amount of new information dropped a few hours ago about BioShock Infinite, and among it was information of a new character: Z.H. Comstock. BlueIsSupreme uploaded a cut of his smaller image for the page, but I uploaded a larger version of the main image and also think we should try to capture the whole poster (even with the obstructions, since we'll probably replace it later anyway). The only problem is, it's angled and at an odd perspective. I tried fixing it, but I had no idea how to orient it. Could you try? I uploaded the full image here, and the image you'd replace is here. Thank you in advance. (If you see any other opportunities you'd like to take, go ahead.) ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 00:32, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you. And one more thing: They're showing a new demo at E3 on June 7th. This is likely where some of the information and definitely the screenshots are coming from. You should expect information around that date with images we'd both be interested in looking into. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 17:14, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
Turns out there's versions of some images. The ones of this page are smaller, but has both HUD and no HUD. You could do some cuts of the HUD weapons for the page, too? :o ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 18:05, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
Use the link in the new image description to get the full size 1980xWhatever image. Turns out, Wikia is having problems with their cache, so the ones I uploaded won't take. I commented on it here, and hopefully it'll be fixed soon. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 18:29, May 24, 2011 (UTC)

Z.H. Comstock according to the reputable news sites I read... but yes. :) This is very exciting! I was only mildly interested in BioShock Infinite before, but the information on the new demo makes it sound amazing- possibly even better than the first game, judging from the open ended gameplay I've read about. ~Gardimuer 15px-Genetonic.png ʈalk } 04:49, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Icons Edit

We are well on the way to completing the last of the BioShock 2 content. We are finally getting the icons we need. I would, however, like to request something from you. Would you be willing to make images similar to the ones you did for BioShock weapons for the rest of the weapons in BioShock 2 and multiplayer? This would be really great.

BlueIsSupreme 06:28, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

Ah, that's fine. I think we are on our way to getting new ones, so thanks. I do have another idea and challenge for you. MegaScience uploaded a nice image that I think we should use. This is the BioShock Infinite logo seen in the trailers before it degenerates and morphs into the actual game logo we are familiar with, much the same as the BioShock logo in the introduction of the game.

Now, I propose that, after both the above-mentioned images have been properly doctored, we use the "clean" ones as the "BioShock Wiki" image shown on the upper part of the wiki, per separate universe theme. I think that this would give the wiki (and the two separate themes we plan to implement) a pristine and unique effect, and would be consistent with our background of Rapture (and soon Columbia) as the city at its height of glory. What do you think?

BlueIsSupreme 08:14, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Would you kindly upload the health meter from BioShock Infinite?ZanyDragon (talk) 02:01, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

Can you find and upload an image of the icon for Cyclone Trap 3? ZanyDragon (talk) 20:31, June 1, 2014 (UTC)
