Charles ImageEdit

Hey, I'm curious as to where you found the picture of Charles. Thanks in advance! EDlTʘR •taIk• 02:06, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

I found the pics of Charles and the in-game pic of Elizabeth in the Facebook page for Bioshock Infinite. Evans0305 02:15, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

Re: 20-foot tall rabbit Edit

Thanks for the confirmation. I wonder what the guys at 2K were on when they cooked that idea up... --Willbachbakal 18:16, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

Good job on uploading that article scan! I was hoping someone would do that eventually. I salute you!
Also, to answer your question about references... To get something to show up in the "References" section at the bottom of a page, follow the instructions here: Help:Cite
As an example, say you wanted to add a references about the "20-foot-tall Freudian monster bunny" thing... (I just coppied this section from the Sander Cohen article)
Sander Cohen was planned at one point to return in ''Bioshock 2'' as a "20-foot-tall Freudian monster bunny". <ref>TidBits, ''Game Informer'', #204, April 2010, p. 29</ref>
Everything within the <ref> </ref> tags shows up in the references at the bottom of the page, so the sentence in the article looks like this:
  • Sander Cohen was planned at one point to return in Bioshock 2 as a "20-foot-tall Freudian monster bunny".[1]
And the reference looks like this:
  1. TidBits, Game Informer, #204, April 2010, p. 29
~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 02:19, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

^What she said. Also, is it possible for you to make another scan for the article, without all the other "tidbits" below the BioShock one? As of now, the writing's a bit small and enlarging it would take up lots of space. Thanks in advance. --Willbachbakal 09:47, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Handyman Clarification Edit

No problem. Sometimes when new content comes out, everyone rushes to create it, and some times we just have to clean up after... thanks for your patience.

Minevra's Den Vid Edit

the first time i clicked on that video, it said it was private, so i deleted that video on the page, then i clicked on the video again, and i was able to see it, so i undid my edit. ŖЁĠͧŤ3ŔẼĎ ₵ΘИ†®|฿ŪŢÖṜHi 00:52, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Jack McClendon imageEdit

I extracted it with paint on some video (in HD) of Minerva's Den on youtube, but maybe when this DLC comes to PC someone on this site will extract it directly from the game in a better quality like the other diary icon on the wiki. Pauolo 12:48, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Question on Covers Edit

I used the second cover image you put up for the Handyman article, since it gives a ton of physical information on it. Just informing you of me using it, and thank you for uploading. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 01:32, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Robotic Little Sister image Edit

I have been going through the Breaking the Mold pdf book and replacing small concept art images with higher resolution versions. The Robotic Little Sister concept was one of them. I would normally have just chosen "Upload a new version" of the one you had uploaded, but yours was a jpg. I prefer to upload png versions, because Wikia generates low quality thumbnails of jpgs whenever a jpg is used small on a page. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 07:41, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

GameInformer Cover Reveal

Just saw these new BioShock Infinite covers for the upcoming October issue of Game Informer. Check them out:

The image in the first cover has a familiar look, does it? On the main site, here's a wider closeup of it.

Picture of Jack McClendon Edit

I don't remember if I added his picture, I might have. But I already noticed this and was fixing it while you messaged me. I also added Brent Hudson's image. I guess that's what we get for getting source images. Tonguesmiley.gif ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 23:57, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

That is correct. Wikia got rid of the "problem reports" extension after the new skin became default on all wikis. If you need to report a problem, just leave a message on the talk page of an active administrator. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 17:44, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

Trouble linking to images? Edit

I'm not sure I understand the problem.

  • When did you start having this problem?
  • Are you using the Rich Text Editor?
  • Are you viewing the wiki in Internet Explorer?

"there were no tools to make it as a clickable link"

Are you trying to make it so that clicking on the image takes you directly to a different page? If so, have you tried typing it out like: [[File:Imagename.jpg|link=where you want the image to link to]]?

"the image's edit portion in the wikia somehow becomes a blank page, and neither the image or the format appear"

Are you seeing this when editing the file page of the image (i.e. File:Bioshock Emily.jpg) or when editing the appearance of the image on another page?

~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 01:25, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, it sound like you are trying to edit the file pages. You don't need to re-upload an image to edit its file page; just click the "edit" button next to the image title at the top of the page (like here: File:Rosie3.jpg). The editing window will show a blank page, but that is normal for editing a file page. I have tried using Safari for this, and all the normal tools for adding templates and links still show. Also, I tried clicking on the "licensing" slider when on the re-upload screen, and it worked fine for me.
Try editing a file page without re-uploading the image. If you still have problems, contact Wikia to tell them about the issue. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 19:32, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

Emily Talk: apologies Edit

I'm sorry if I seemed forceful. That was not my intention, and I didn't want to harass anyone. The page is valid, I'll give you that, and in hindsight (and reviewing my last comment) I can see why you would consider this harassment. I won't make any excuse, and it seems Blue has deciced what he want's to do with the page. I don't know if merging is the right thing, but I believe the page should stay where it is, thinking about it.

Either way, it's a good find, although, in honesty, I thought it was Fanfic at first. Dark Swarmlord 17:00, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

News blogs Edit

Your blogs here are often very informative, and many subjects you blog about could qualify as news. If you ever want one of your blogs to show in the news feed on the main page, just tag it with the "News" category.

If you don't mind, I would like to show this blog in the feed on the main page: Bioshock 2 - Additional Concept Art pt.1. Would it be ok with you if I placed it in the news categories? ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 05:06, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

Just letting you know I have replied on my talkpage since Pauolo also got involved in the discussion. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 19:20, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Sorry for the very late reply. As BlueIsSupreme stated, even though the Aqua Splicer has a lot of information about it, it still doesn't have anything beyond concept art phase, so it would most likely be wrong to make an article about it. I suppose adding info about it to the Deco Devolution article would be best. However, BlueIsSupreme is really the one you should ask about this since he is the one who defined the rule. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 07:42, April 16, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for informing me. That IP has been doing nonsense edits every once in a while for over a year but I was never sure if it was intentional vandalism or just a very foolish person trying to help. Source of pictures Edit

Hello Evans, I would like to remind you that when you upload some pictures from other website, don't forget to mention the source in the picture's page. That is just some courtesy toward the people who posted these pictures. Thanks for you attention. --Pauolo 15:14, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

It's nothing, it's just that I once forgot to do that with the diary's portraits and I had to send some mails to (after I asked them something) but it has been arranged with a link to the website on every pictures from it. In fact, I just wrote the source under the license on each of them. By the way, they've got quite good pieces, and added recently the advertisement signs outside of the buildings. They even have all the bonus content from the Protector Trials (except the cinematics' sketches) if you're interested in it. --Pauolo 18:45, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Your Blog Post Edit

The best thing for you to do would be to remake your blog post about BioShock winning the art competition. I will delete the other blog post, and the redirect as well.

Concept Art Edit

Just mentioning, but make sure concept art added to the artbook page is from the artbook and not elsewhere. I haven't checked mine in maybe even a year, so I can't be sure of anything, but just pointing that out. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 02:14, May 23, 2011 (UTC)

Thank You Edit

I just wanted to thank you for crediting my site ( when you added images from it. No one else does that on this Wikia. It's much appreciated. Not only is it nice to be credited, but my personal opinion is that it's proper to acknowledge where images come from, and it's also really helpful if you are browsing the Wikia and you see some information or an image and you want to know where the original source is. I'm always browsing and finding things that I want to know the source, but the source is never given. It's so annoying. Crediting / acknowledging the source is how information can be verified. So thank you for doing things right. - Relight - 16:07, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

Cool, thanks again! More behind-the-scenes and ghosting content is definitely coming! - Relight, 22:11, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Wondering if you can do some image grabs? Edit

Ah, I was thinking I'd do this with the full video. I might have mentioned I use Camtasia Studio for screen grabs... And actually, it was acting up last time I tried it. The frames wouldn't save. But I guess I can pull them from there for now... I'd still rather see the full gameplay than all the little clips first. Thank you, though. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 22:57, June 9, 2011 (UTC)

For some reason, there's no download link on the page you gave me. I downloaded it as the on-site .flv, but the only way I can capture frames from it is to convert. I'd rather there be as little steps between video to image as possible, to retain quality. The flv file, itself. is a conversion of the main video. I've found programs that can capture frames from flv videos, but they put the most annoying watermarks on it until I've bought it, which I won't because it's not worth it. Can you find a download link to the video? Nothing is listed when I click "Download." ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 23:57, June 9, 2011 (UTC)
I already have an account, actually. They simply did not include download links for some reason. I downloaded the site's .flv, converted it to .AVI and .MOV so two of my programs could open them, and extracted images from there. I got shots of her banner and a still & animation of her projection. I took some shots of some signs and the tear object flickering, including the "Columbia Post Office sign," but the shots are simply too low quality. I'll wait for the gameplay.
I started this before I got your message, so I didn't catch the specific moments you mentioned. Besides that, I reduced the video's size to just the new part to take a load off my low end computer, so the seconds would be different. Hopefully they'll work out. I'll upload them in a few minutes (from this message). ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 06:59, June 10, 2011 (UTC)
You're welcome. I'm sure you noticed they overused motion blur in the scene - it made capturing specific frames difficult. The first banner of her starts to blur a lot as the camera closes in. I have a slightly bigger shot of it, but at the point I took it, it was too noticeably blurry. I used a shot a few frames back and clearer.
I don't believe this is part of the gameplay they will release - it looks more like a fly-cam of the level it takes place in. If this is the case, then we won't get the same kind of amazing shots as we are in this. If you also find a way to take shots, you should take advantage of it and try to obtain any shots I did not. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 07:28, June 10, 2011 (UTC)
Ah, the first image is definitely interesting. Not the one we saw. I'd rather keep this all out of mind for now, as I just did another check for videos and found nothing. Frustrates me somewhere it was shown and none of us got to see it. Don't tell me when they do release it, I'd rather see the people hyping it than feel like I missed the message to see it nearly first... ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 08:06, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

Mesmerize Edit

I was looking at Irrational Games' forum and found this thread. I decided you should get to make the article on it. The person included this image, if you'd like to use it with his permission. Otherwise, direct me to the highest quality version of the About the Sky-Lines video and I'll pull more images from it.

I've posted asking if we can use it. Tell me if there's a response, if I haven't noticed. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 01:09, June 12, 2011 (UTC)

Character page etc.Edit

The character page looks good, as far as I can tell.

On a side note, I appreciate you taking an interest in Mahi951's conduct, but I want to mention that the blanking of his talk page wasn't necessarily a sign he was rebelling against what I wrote. Some people like to "clean" their talk pages after they have read new messages. It is up to personal preference, and we don't have any rules against people blanking their own talk pages. Unfortunately, your strong reaction seems to have frightened him away so we may never know what he meant to do. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 23:26, July 21, 2011 (UTC)

Rescue Little Sister Edit

There is a theme pack for BioShock that has almost all of the icons in the game, plus unused ones. They are mostly unmarked, but one can use deduction to figure out what they are for. We have all of them on this site.

Ah, cool. I don't think I'll be extracting anything older that BioShock Infinite, as I want to keep some free space and that all takes a lot. Until then, someone gifted me Amnesia today and I'm still doing things in MapleStory, so I'll be occupied there too. I want to make a Custom Story in Amnesia which has no scares. Just a day in the life of Daniel the average.
BioShock Infinite's site shows a bunch of articles saying that whole Revenge of the Jedi scene was actually reused game assets, from a game Irrational cancelled apparently. You should check it out. ~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 05:10, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Art theft Edit

Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Unfortunately, it seems that D.Ryan has been uploading images without credit for a long time. Re: Interesting things Edit

That sounds awesome. :) You might want to confer with MegaScience about possible questions to ask Lowenthal; MegaScience once told me that the Crawler is his favorite Splicer model due to all its amusing dialogue. I'd be interested to know how the voice acting process was done- Was he given a script to read, or was he encouraged to improvise? Did he ever meet the developers, or did he talk to them on the phone?

As for images RazKurdt could make, I'd be most interested in getting render shots of items in BioShock and BioShock 2.

For instance, we really need good images of the BioShock 2 weapons with transparency. Something like this that would fit well in weapon infoboxes is preferred. It would be especially nice if he could make separate images of each weapon for every upgrade. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 04:48, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm, the voice actor was also the one inspired to make it? Adding spaces Edit

I think it is because of the change to the Template:Games: the game icons now show at the top of each article during preview and overlap whatever is directly below them. That IP is most likely confused by this and he/she thinks they are helping, when in reality the added spaces are unnecessary. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 21:51, September 18, 2011 (UTC)

Vandal Edit

Actually, I don't think the added source code was caused by that IP. Most likely it is just Wikia's WYSIWYG editor messing up gain. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 05:59, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

I suggest you report the problem to Wikia through Special:Contact. The more feedback they get about the problem, the more likely it is that they will fix.
Also, remember that switching to source mode in your preferences will prevent most of the problems caused by the WYSIWYG editor.~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 01:14, October 7, 2011 (UTC)

I need help with the sigature Edit

I actually do use the sinature button in the tools colomn. I don't know why it puts my name at way. It's like that on all the wikis I use and someone told me I just needed to edit my page some. That was the extent of their advice and it didn't help any. Frank Fontaine article Edit

I'm a bit confused by your recent edit to the Fontaine article. A bunch of "{C}" were added, and your edit summary doesn't seem to describe what was actually changed. It almost looks as if you edited an old version of the page by accident. I'd like to correct it, but I'm not sure what your intentions were and I don't want to undo your work by accident. SOPA and Rapture Museum Edit

I've known about SOPA for a while, and I agree that it would be a bad thing. A lot of websites have decided to protest it on the 18th, including Wikipedia (they will be having a "blackout" of all English language parts of their site to raise awareness). However, at present there's not much chance of SOPA passing, considering that the president has promised to veto it.

Actually, I'm a bit annoyed at Wikia's plastering their position across all Wikia wikis. Wikipedia has justification for their blackout, since they got consensus from their active contributors before deciding to take a stand, but Wikia is just forcing their own corporate views on all of us and falsely making it seem like they represent the views of every contributor. I would have been more pleased if they had actually asked us to opt into this event instead of forcing it on us.

Regarding the Rapture Memorial Museum images, I could fix them, but I don't know what the correct positioning is. Could you upload an image or describe exactly what needs to be changed? ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 06:27, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

AbuseFilter Edit

I checked the AbuseFilter logs today and saw that the filter which checks for Rich Text Editor errors stopped you from leaving a comment on User blog:Iloveelanorlamb3734/Abandoned good ending. I'm sorry about the trouble; I changed the filter so you should be able to leave a comment now.

The filter detects when edits insert pointless html code or other common RTE errors. Unfortunately, the RTE interface for blog comments tends to add lots of html code whenever someone copies and pastes text into a comment. Normally the filter gives a warning to the user when this happens in articles or other normal page edits, but the filter doesn't have any way to give warnings in blog comments.

I don't think we will have any more issues from this since I've changed the filter, but please let me know if you ever encounter this problem again.

I've placed your comment text below, if you want to use it. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 16:35, May 17, 2012 (UTC)

Well, not to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think it was meant literally for Eleanor, but a hint for BioShock Infinite. When she says " ..and in our story, Rapture was just the beginning", its suppose to imply to the next story in the BioShock universe about Columbia, especially when BioShock Infinite was announced a few months after BioShock 2 was released.

Like everyone else, I also want to see them bring back Jack and Eleanor, but at the same time, the endings had a different outcome of what they'll be depending on saving or harvesting Little Sisters, or choosing who in Rapture should live or die, so having it based on what the main characters will do next is a bit complex. At least in BioShock 2, it was left open that Jack left Rapture, so none of the Splicers knew what really happened to him, and it'll probably be the same for Eleanor.

As for the age question, I'm not going there.

Ah, my bad. On wikis that I edit, including Wikipedia, we usually remove links that contain " 's " and leave that on the outside of the link. I was taught that " 's" should always remain on the outside of links. I guess this wiki does that differently. Thanks for reverting my edits. I probably have a bit more to learn about the editing style of this wiki. EYCEST★R 23:38, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Behind The Scenes conformity Edit

I disagree that it is too limiting. If anything, removing speculation will be beneficial to us, since it will improve the BioShock Wiki's reputation as a source of a reliable, confirmed information. Fortunately, a great deal more than 50% of everyone's contributions here are not speculation, so there's no need to fear axing the whole wiki. In many cases I move the more plausible (but unconfirmed) speculation to article talk pages so the information isn't completely lost.

Although the switch from "Trivia" to "Behind the Scenes" was recent, the no-speculation trivia policy has been around for over two years. The only thing that has really changed is that I am now enforcing it more rigorously and labeling the sections more appropriately.

I'm interested to know your perspective on this subject, so please let me know what you think the drawbacks of this change are. Also, please let me know if/when I remove some specific trivia information that you think should have been kept. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 06:50, June 22, 2012 (UTC)

Re: New Contributor Isn't Adjusting Well Edit

Truth be told, I'm fairly conflicted at the moment as to how to deal with Wf72 myself. On one hand, his edits are poorly written, especially for someone who's been on multiple wikis, and on his talk page you said he threatened you, which is usually grounds for an instant ban. On the other hand, he seems to genuinely want to help, and his behavior suggests he's immature rather than malicious. I'll leave a message on his talk page to try and fix things (and hopefully clear up any bad blood between him and you). I'll also keep a close eye on him and will ban him if he continues breaking the rules. If he vandalizes an article or threatens you again, please tell me immediately.

Also, was the threat he made on the Fontaine Futuristics page? I've looked at his edit history and the threat he made doesn't show up on your talk page. --Willbachbakal 16:07, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

I wouldn't call it a threat. He just didn't understand not to leave messages to other editors in article text. Fortunately (or unfortunately) WF72's vandal edit to the Fontaine Futuristics page makes this very simple. I've banned him and the vandal IP for two weeks. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 17:11, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

Andrew Ryan Limited Edition Figurine Edit

I saw on the NECA BioShock Toy Series page that you mentioned the Andrew Ryan figurines sold in the Irrational Games store were from an additional production run of 200. Most of the people I've seen talking about it in the 2K/Irrational Games forum think that they are just selling the remainder of the original 200 figurines. Have you found some additional information that says they are a new production run? ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 18:25, July 2, 2012 (UTC)

Errors Edit

Unfortunately, I haven't seen any error messages related to images, so I don't know what may be causing that problem. Wikia did make a lot of annoying style changes recently that I will have to fix. Wednesday is their update day, so typically a lot of errors are introduced on Wednesday and then fixed within 24 hours. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 17:57, July 11, 2012 (UTC)

Actually, that's normal behavior for the Rich Text Editor. If you are editing in visual mode and copy-paste something into the editing window, the HTML of the source text will be included into the page. That is the main reason I created filter 4, so it will warn people when that happens. When you copy-pasted the error message into my talk page, this is the convoluted HTML that the RTE tried to add:
<p style="border-bottom-width:0px;border-left-width:0px;font-style:inherit;font-weight:inherit;margin-top:0.4em;margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:0.5em;margin-left:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;vertical-align:baseline;">''The item that was shared with you is no longer available. But now that you're here, check out this article page!''</p>
Notice that the "Oops." is inside of a size 1 heading, thus creating an additional section edit link. ~Gardimuer 15px-Combat_Tonic.png ʈalk } 02:26, July 12, 2012 (UTC)

Gears power-ups Edit

I was trying to crop the individual icons for each earlier today, but for some reason out of everything I can open the image in, only Photoshop CS5 had a problem loading the image. There was no gap between each part, and they had weird artifacts which weren't present elsewhere. Because I was having this problem, I wasn't uploading the other images I was working on, so you beat me to a few. I guess I need you to crop those icons, though.

And if you make the The Art of BioShock Infinite page, I'll stock it with the preview images. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 23:49, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

Well, I did add that to the BioShock Infinite page, where I had it for now. The same day, a ton of news sites reported it was a pre-order Flash game. However, this was only in Google's logs. Re: Industrial Revolution Edit

BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution is a flash game for people who pre-order to unlock things for when the game comes out. I've been playing it, now I'm utterly stuck on puzzle 53/59 (meaning out of 59). I accidentally uploaded the string sheet for the game publicly and am expecting my ass kicked, unless Pastebin doesn't kick my ass for it. I was only putting it up so Will could see so we could arrange organizing the information for the wiki in a more orderly fashion, but unlike sites like Imgur, you aren't provided with a method of deleting if you aren't logged in.

About your Comstock images, are you sure that is Comstock? It could be Finkton. He was a major supplier for both factions, and as in the trailer, appears to use his supplies to hold a strong fortress which you aid in attacking. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 04:53, October 23, 2012 (UTC)

Well, the information was provided as an aside in past tense, so there isn't much information on it. For all we know, it is propaganda and she died of something else, but it seems like something she'd do.
Also, I just finished BI: IR. I'm given the option for Founders/Vox as usual, but this choice will decide what perk I get ingame. Checking into the strings, turns out the prize is whichever faction you sided with the most, you get an image pack of them to download. I'm going to go with... Founders. If you know someone who goes with Vox, tell me. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 09:24, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
Edit: Ah... the image pack is a Facebook avatar and banner, and a Twitter background... Well, we are getting themes for the special edition anyway, so this sorta makes sense. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 09:28, October 23, 2012 (UTC)

Higher Quality Beast of America trailer Edit

I was looking for clean, non-YouTube-optimized versions of the Beast of America trailer. I feel like there is a 1080p one around somewhere - I found one on YouTube with a watermark, but it's hard to tell if that isn't just stretched.

But I did find this: Really, really high definition Beast of America 720p trailer. It goes 60fps, looks wonderful, the sound is amazing, no watermark. Not sure this is utterly top quality, but you can't get this on most sites that display the trailer I've found. Will likes it, apparently, too. :P --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 06:46, October 26, 2012 (UTC)

I keep feeling like that 1080p video is out there, since GameSpot's screenshots feel like they were part of the video at 1080p. Unless, as the "in-engine" at the end suggests, these scenes were 100% scripted for the video and they just took higher definition pictures during the development... Which is possible. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 23:31, October 26, 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure if it's the same person, but that new user you pointed out is definitely editing along the same lines. Adblock Plus can list most incoming files and while playing the game I used it to get all the file connections for the game. Then the article says Bioshock Infinite will be available in PS3, Wii U, Xbox, and PC. My question is that is it confirmed information that Bioshock Infinite will be available on Wii U or not???? Various things and Re: Announcement coming tomorrow Edit

Gardimuer has been sort of around on Steam, but I think she is taking a general break from BioShock. Would be good if you had a messenger for us to talk.

Also, I tweeted Ken about various BioShock Infinite content that appears in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royal, and this was his first response: There is a big poster on the BioShock Infinite level which is a fat, old guy in a fancy suit, with "BAXTER" under it. While each level slowly devolves into the content of another game, the star of the map is all canon. Furthermore, it does appear they aided at least in providing assets for the level. If that BAXTER person isn't actually from the game...Ya. Also, one of the other levels devolves into BioShock Infinite later, showing Songbird fighting a Security Zeppelin.

Also, thank you for bringing my attention to the cover sneak peaks. I have them... watched? on Facebook, but I didn't catch that when I checked today. I will look into it. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 04:57, December 1, 2012 (UTC)

I couldn't find it early, since it seems they kept it to Facebook initially even though it was uploaded yesterday as well. I uploaded the plain art, and found some places with platform-specific variations:

Steam doesn't allow users to do some things if they don't have one purchasable game, although that only means you have to have one in your library, so anyone could gift you a game and it would count. I sent you a friend request. BioShock Infinite will be integrated into Steam, so if your computer can handle it, maybe you could also get it for PC and it'd count. Otherwise, there's a lot of fun cheap games on Steam.
I can't shake the possibility BAXTER was some reference, but at the same time I haven't seen references built into the base of the map from the start, so I'm confused.
Not sure the television advertisement will start then, but there should be news on it. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 15:34, December 2, 2012 (UTC) --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 20:49, December 4, 2012 (UTC)

Re: New Images Edit

Hey Evan, I left a bunch of information about the images on Ison's page. For the reason, I got this Add-On for Firefox which allows me to right-click images to search them through Google and find the source: link. You can manually do that, or use as I used to do, but my Add-On makes it easier. Anyway, check everything I mentioned on his page. I found higher quality versions, and updated the Elizabeth pictures. He made the pictures themselves in Photoshop CS6, probably scaling them down to a reasonable size or something. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 06:36, December 30, 2012 (UTC)

Ah, I've had access to the game since it became available. I thought those pictures were suitable, though. The size is made for a browser, after all. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 09:42, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Playstation All Stars Battle Royale Article on the Wiki Edit

The article's very well-written, and adding in all the quotes and references could help unclog the Other Media article. The latter would also help the page look more relevant to the BioShock franchise than it is now. --Willbachbakal (talk) 13:17, January 11, 2013 (UTC)

Apollo Station... Edit

Hello again!!! Recently I've been looking for some new images for wiki when I found Thomas Pringle's website... He was an artist for 2k( I think) who helped with early art development on Bio2. Pringle has some good art on a place called "Apollo Station" but I debated on weather to place these images on Atlantic Express page, as an addition to the behind the scene section of the early train station idea or on Apollo Square page, because of the name and the place???PANDA COMPANY001 (talk) 19:59, January 12, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Live Stream Edit

Ah, I actually have a Record from when they were originally given out, so I was fine with not having it. There were a few other things I could have gotten which I decided not to. No one noticed my joke about how since I missed the Y, I could have meant Wild Buns. xD I did win Xbox and PS3 versions of it, actually. Sad that the one question I couldn't get off the top of my head was the wine bottle. In Arcadia, I was always too scared of the Saturnine to look in their caves and learn more about them, so I couldn't remember right away.

I wish I could have gotten everyone else from here into the live stream, but I was afraid of warning people through talk pages, and then they only get time to check after it happens, making them sad. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 03:15, January 17, 2013 (UTC)

Awesome, informative promotional video made for BioShock Infinite: It's weird how little it fits the apparent theme for the actual game, but the early television educational show theme is still funny and cool. :) --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 13:21, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

Some assistance, would you kindly? Edit

Eh Evans, first thanks for the greeting. I wasn't expecting to find back a lot of editors around, but I can gladly see the wikia didn't fell in disrepair, though I noted some missing pics around like the clean BioShock logo from the first game's animation, or the unfolded Rapture dollar bill.

Anyway I've started working on a detailed timeline for Columbia according to the informations from Industrial Revolution and on both pages for the Minuteman and the Voice (found a way to get all the transcripts), but I wanted to ask you if you can help me write down all of it, for example the different messages sent by the Founders and the Vox each time you finish a puzzle? You can use this series of walthroughs to see them all, and I don't think they change depending on your choice of allegiance. Also, do you know someone who can help me get a good format for the newspapers transcripts? They kinda look like shit right now, compared to the original format (you can find an example of both the Minuteman and the Voice on this video at 7:20 and 16:20).

So, I'd appreciate any help you can provide, if you have some spare time. :)

Pauolo (talk) 08:35, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

Well, with that video series you can get each of the faction transcripts for each document, and all the Minutemen transcripts. I've made my own playthrough getting all the Voice transcripts, and that's funny because in the end, you can't trust neither of the papers, they have always two versions always too much different and Daisy Fitzroy sounds more and more scarier. She even tends to sound like a prophet to the Vox, without the religious side of Comstock.
Still if you can help me organize better the Voice and the Minuteman pages, I would be glad. So far their displays look like shit. XD
Pauolo (talk) 09:14, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
Don't tire yourself on this, and thanks for the help. Also, for the video playlist I was talking of this one:
That's how I can get all the Minuteman and how I figured to get the Voice.

Re: Some more info Edit

Hmm. Looking over the achievements, they really aren't spoilers. It lists locations completed and challenges for specific weapons, but it isn't as bad as they make it out to be. Ken actually responded to a tweet about the achievements last night, but he didn't really give an exact answer. I think if someone is willing, we could use this for documentation. If you're willing, there's some specific things I'd like to see articles about. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 21:09, February 2, 2013 (UTC)

Actually, the top of the page has a dropdown to hide secret achievements. All the level completion achievements are secret. Tick that if you go. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 21:14, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
I wish you came to me on Steam instead of trying to hand-write the Industrial Revolution text. I told you I actually have the source .txt file the game references for a majority of the text. If you get on Steam and talk to me, we can discuss it. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 19:38, February 3, 2013 (UTC)
I'm interested by this file, if you were able to extract all texts from this flash game. It would help me update the Minuteman, the Voice and even the timeline page with it.

BioShock Infinite SteelBook Edit

What's funny is, in looking it up, the first place I got linked was GameStop Germany. I have a friend in Germany I met years ago through the Xfire BioShock Group, and it just so happens she logged off 11 seconds before I tried to tell her about it. :| Damn timing, damn it all. Apparently this was known for a while but... yeah... --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 17:46, February 8, 2013 (UTC)

Now I'm getting really pissed by 2K's directions for the promotion of the game. And I really hate those pre-order bonuses/goodies exclusives for a shop or another, I raged when I saw 2K dared to do that to Infinite, and now a steel box (wish I could get my hands on BioShock's steel box too) for a UK retailer only? In a way, this is really discouraging me of liking this game.
Pauolo (talk) 19:01, February 8, 2013 (UTC)
I ordered my copy  3 days ago, yesterday I got a message from the shop (polish one - listed on Bioshock Infinite co-op shops list) which said that I will also get a steelbook becuase they give it with the preorder. So I don't really think that it's UK only :I Ison (talk) 19:57, February 8, 2013 (UTC)
I just saw one of the French retailers added the steelbox to their pre-orders, so I guess you're right. Unfortunately doesn't seem to do it, which is sad because I pre-ordered the game from them, it was cheaper on their site.
EDIT: there was also mention of a wallet with Booker's identity card, included with the steelbook.
Pauolo (talk) 20:58, February 8, 2013 (UTC)
That's quite interesting. Personally, I'm kinda getting tired of 2K overmarketing the game, especially when the stuff from NECA is already pricey all together, let alone everything else that was in the Irrational Store. Steelbooks are alright, but its mainley just a printout of the same art on the case. The wallet, on the other hand, is probably the more interesting piece of it, although I don't think Booker had a wallet (as far as I know of), but if so, why instead of this steelcase printout, they could just make the steelcase look like Booker's property box? It would make more sense than a open print of the characters inside of a Fink MFG cover, not to mention having some of those in-game items inside. Plus, I'm getting the Ultimate Songbird Edition, which is just as unique expensive. Its cool that you can get the steelbox if you can't get the Songbird Edition, but still, best to just go with one or the other as the more expensive collectable item for the game. Evans0305 (talk) 21:55, February 8, 2013 (UTC)
The steelbox would of been a great addition to the Premium or Songbird editions but there's nothing special to it. I would've liked some kind of special art design on that steelbox to make it unique, rather than reprinting the standard art cover or "MFG." The collectible wallet  though is a nice piece but I would much rather have a Statue of Songbird. Sad though that I was able obtain the needed money from Christmas and my Bday to preorder/pay off the Songbird Edition, only to hear the gamestop worker say "we have none left..." So I got the premium edition instead, plus the LE strategy guide. I really wanted that awesome looking Songbird sculpture... :( PANDA COMPANY001 (talk) 01:13, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

Yet another pre-order retailer-exclusive Edit

I think we should have a page or section listing all the different pre-order exclusives by retailer, because there is a ridiculous amount. Lets see... GameStop and Best Buy get their own weapons, Amazon gives Mind in Revolt... Microsoft Store gives 1600 Microsoft Points... I know I'm forgetting 1-3. --~ɠą§ɔîéɳčę { talk } 01:32, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

The list will be long is you're gonna sort out all pre-order exclusives, and more if it is for each main English-speaking countries. You should only list the weapons and IR, I think that will be enough. Btw, only had IR to give for pre-orders, even though they had Mind in Revolt released on kindle. booker Edit

: I don't have any beef with you. I don't know why everything I edited has to be thrown in the garbage can though. I left up quite a bit of what you wrote when you added. In fact probably 80 percent of it. In fact I kept a lot of it. I recently even added the new picture to bookers bio because I felt he looke more native american in that picuture. He looked very native american in the vox posters. I recnetly went through the game again and picked up on some of this in the voxophones. Althought the game never flat out says he is native american (I don't think we should even say for sure he's defintely native american), there are hints towards it. Either way, that's the reason I edited that small section. I even kept most of what you had typed. I don't see why the need to get upset about being opinionated towards and event that killed innocent man women and children though. I think a major point of Bioshock Infinite is to learn that the USA used to have a horrific racist past. I think we should show some opinionatedness towards the horrific battle of wounded knee. Thannks for taking the time to respond, thanks EkriikE (talk) 00:50, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

Out of the sunken ship Edit

Don't check those links if you prefer to keep the surprise for Burial at Sea. I'd also prefer not to add anything related to the preview on the wikia before the game's release.

Also, did you hear the good news about BioShock 2 on Steam? GFWL finally got removed, and that's not all.

Pauolo (talk) 18:25, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Well so far the multiplayer is laggier than ever, mostly due to server proximity, and making it most of the time totally unplayable, though I do approve some of the small changes Digital Extreme brought, and the fact that all DLC are now included with BioShock 2 on Steam (with the exception of Minerva's Den, sold separately).
I do agree with you on Bio2's levels, however I did like how they show something way far from the luxury of Bio1's environments. The Drop is more convincing as a slum than Apollo Square (which looked more like an improvised ghetto right next to the luxury housings), and Fontaine Futuristics showed more of the ADAM business than Point Prometheus. Still, I would have loved to see in action the preserved version of Dionysus Park that was initially planned, it would have been the most gorgeous place in Rapture, and maybe the closest with BaS's design.
Speaking of which, I found concept arts that only Gamespot seem to have: [1]
The new design for air vents look neat, but maybe a bit too simple compared to the original one. However there really is hard work put into the building's designs, when they looked kinda blank in the first two games. Those really makes Rapture look more Art Deco now, and maybe truer to what Levine thought when making Rapture.
Pauolo (talk) 17:09, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Re: BaS namesEdit

For now I can only confirm Frosty's name since it is mentioned on the texts files. As for the other Splicers, I believe their enemy types remain the same as in Infinite (melee and medium range weapons), but I'll take a look among texture files if I see any model name like "Toasty" or "Lady Smith."

Btw, and that also concerns any user looking into those files like I did: there are, among this DLC's files, unused models and textures related to the second episode of Burial at Sea. I will insist that you keep such findings for yourselves, at least until the release of Burial at Sea - Episode 2. Why? Because I'd prefer not to spoil anyone consulting this wikia before that last DLC is out, and by consideration for the work of Irrational Games.

Pauolo (talk) 16:30, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Evans, I'm flattered you asked, but I can't/don't know how to find/look at the game files.
Unownshipper (talk) 20:17, November 22, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I can get photos from BioShock on my Mac, but I haven't got any of the other games and I don't know how to "read" the game files, I wish I could.
Unownshipper (talk) 22:23, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

Just adding, I might not have the time tomorrow to look into those files, but MegaScience told me some of the old model names were reused.
Also I wanted to bring up some issue that came with the release of BaS. You see, I'm not sure we should have the Tommy Gun on the same page as the Machine Guns from Bio 1, 2 and multiplayer. I would suggest to have it on the same page as the Machine Gun from Infinite, because that Tommy Gun is really just a reskinned Triple R (it even has the same max ammo capacity), same goes for all weapons in BaS except the new one. I would also like to have more general templates (mostly one for Weapons and another for Plasmids/Vigors), instead of just separating what belongs to Rapture from what came from Columbia. What do you think of that?

Re: Unused PropagandaEdit

Dude, it's always a pleasure to see you either here or on the IG forums. If you find a way to fix your browser, I'd really like your help to shovel in on the wiki the amazing amount of cut content displayed there. Anyway thanks for your comments on Robb Waters' artwork, I'll see for it to display links instead of posting the images. If those ads were not reused in Bio2, it's probably because they didn't fit Rapture's final form. Who would write Red Light District on a metro ad anyway? :D Also, I the complete artbook and took my sweet time to reorganize all pages. A shame that one wasn't originally released publicly nor re-editied because it's a treasure trove, though those two ads ain't in it as opposed to others Bio1 displayed in the Challenge Rooms or Bio2. Pauolo (talk) 09:05, April 16, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Prisoner imageEdit

My mistake! Good job on you for noting this. That image should definitely be renamed. I found the image on Robb Waters portfolio: and there's even more concepts if you're interested. I noted the images, of the unnamed enemy type, you mentioned of the brute-guy and the child and, quite interestingly, the name of the image with the child is: Shelly (which can easily be seen when attempting to save the image on your computer). --Shacob (talk) 22:28, August 18, 2015 (UTC)
