Behind the Scenes[]
- Zimmermann Chardonnay is a nod to longtime BioShock graphic designer Laura Zimmermann, who included this reference to herself in both BioShock's Challenge Rooms DLC and BioShock Infinite in the same form, with one version appearing in Rapture and the other in Columbia. Despite sharing the name and producing Chardonnay, the in-game brands are distinct within their respective universes. Notably, Zimmermann Chardonnay is the only brand to appear in both BioShock and BioShock Infinite as distinct versions, rather than as an asset reuse or a direct connection between the two worlds.
- Burial at Sea, the BioShock Infinite DLC which takes place in Rapture, reuses the bottle models from the main game.
- Zimmermann Chardonnay bottles is often seen as un-consumable set pieces in bars, paired with King Absinthe, another brand of King Ltd. These bottles can be destroyed, while the consumable version can not.
